Meet The Team

Websters have highly motivated and skilled teams who continually exceed clients’ expectations by dealing with all aspects of large nationwide portfolios within agreed timescales.

Our skills and services vary from service charge accounting and reviewing to management company compliance and specialist consultancy work for landlords and managing agents.

David Goddard

David Goddard

Partner

David joined Websters in 1984 shortly after qualifying as an accountant, and became a partner in the firm in 1988.

He has wide experience in all aspects of property work and is the lead partner on portfolios in both the commercial and residential sectors. His areas of expertise include :

• audit of property management companies
• complex mixed use schemes which present challenges for cost allocation and VAT
• advising on new build schemes that complete in stages
• mitigating tax liabilities for clients in development scenarios
• head rent statements
• statements of income and expenditure for car parks

David has three adult children and two grandchildren. Away from the office his interests include photography, music and DIY. He has also taken part in some film-extra work, but doesn’t expect this to develop into an alternative career path.

Andrew Salmon

Andrew Salmon

Partner

Andrew qualified with Websters having joined the firm in 1993 and was appointed a partner in 2001.

He has been instrumental in elevating Websters to its current status as a market leader within the sector and has built up a number of large portfolios of residential and commercial property clients. Andrew’s teams at Websters provide a large range of accounting services to both landlords and managing agents to supplement the core work in service charge and management company compliance. The more specialist instructions that he oversees include car park, marketing and commercialisation accounts as well as providing advice on a wide spectrum of issues in connection with their managed portfolios.

He often shares his thirty odd years of experience in property and service charge work, by providing training presentations to client teams on a large range of subjects from service charge processes to accounting treatment and property taxation. He takes a keen interest in the development of best practice within the property management sphere, helping Websters’ clients to lead the way in the industry.

Andrew is married to Louise and has three children to keep him occupied outside of service charges. His sporting passions include running, cycling and swimming (badly!). He has also shown a keen interest in more adrenalin-fuelled pastimes. In motorsport Andrew raced for 4 years in the official Caterham championships and, in skiing, he can often be found taking on many of Europe’s more challenging off-piste descents.

Richard Brown

Richard Brown

Associate

Richard started working for Websters in 2000 as a service charge accountant in commercial property. In 2003 he moved from London to Birmingham following the request of a client to be based in their office. In 2008 he created Websters Birmingham office which assisted our nationwide coverage. He was appointed to the role of Associate in 2012.

Richard has wide experience dealing with service charges for commercial properties and has a specialism in shopping centres. He is trusted highly by many of our larger managing agent portfolio clients such as Cushman and Wakefield and GVA, and also by important landlord instructions such as Hammerson. In 2014 he successfully completed the BCSC Diploma in Shopping Centre Management which has enabled him to gain an all-round perspective of shopping centres.

Richard continues to be integral to managing Websters’ InLine, having played a key part in both its initial development and in rolling it out across all Websters’ clients, to a positive reception.

Richard is married to Madi and, at home, takes a keen interest in cookery and films. For more active pursuits, Richard enjoys skiing and has visited many locations in the European Alps.

Sian Lewsley

In addition she shares her experience by advising client’s accounting teams on many accounting aspects of these managed portfolios.

Sian’s client properties include many large and complex residential developments. She has developed a particular specialism in both new start-up developments and properties which have been acquired on existing managed portfolios where the records received are often poor.

She became the manager of the residential team in 2013 and was appointed to the role of Associate in 2015.

In her spare time, Sian has a very keen interest in music and film.
